Yes, I am well aware that the Seahawks are playing this Sunday at 10:00 am. This is an email to remind you that we will be gathering for Worship at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am. So you can attend the 8:00 service, and see the entire game. Or you can attend the 9:30 service, and miss the first quarter. Of course, you can come at 11:00 am and have a stress free morning — no screaming at the TV, pacing around the room, or questioning the coaching.

Why attend Church this Sunday?

Well, there is the standard answer. Because God is good, God has blessed us, the community needs us, and God expects us to worship. I could also tell you that this will be an amazing service!

This weekend we celebrate the life and prophetic ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As a part of that celebration, we will be singing a whole series of moving Gospel songs and Spirituals. A sampling of the music for Sunday includes: “We Shall Overcome,” “Abraham, Martin and John,” “Keep Your Eyes on the Prize,” “I’m Gonna Sing When the Spirit says Sing,” and several others. TLC will be rocking.

The text for Sunday is from John 2:1-11. Recorded there is the first miracle of Jesus’ ministry. So come to the wedding in Cana and let’s see if we can turn some water into wine.
I sure hope the Seahawks win! And I sure hope to see you this Sunday at TLC.

Thanks be to God and Go Hawks! The order is important.

My love to you!
