Sunday School

Trinity’s Sunday School provides Christian education for prekindergarten through fifth-grade children from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Sundays from Rally Day in early September (this year Sept. 11) through the first week of June. Children may be registered at any time by contacting the church office.

Younger children from birth to age 4 are well-cared for in infant and toddler nursery during all Sunday worship services.

Rocking chairs for parents of infants are provided in the back of the church on the left side, as well as in the lobby area. Trinity Lutheran Church is a welcoming place for parents and children. Please know that you are encouraged to sit wherever you wish. Our desire is to provide you with several choices to allow for an optimal worship experience.

 

Infant and Toddler Nurseries

Who says church can’t be fun? Infants, toddlers and young children up to age 5 have a blast in our delightfully decorated nursery, loaded with safe toys. Infants and toddlers are carefully watched over by our experienced, trained and screened staff. Parents may have peace of mind when entrusting their little ones to the nursery while they attend either church services or the Adult Forum.

 

First thru Fifth Grade Sunday School

Trinity Sunday School offers classes for students in prekindergarten through 5th grade. Each class has an adult teacher and an adult or teen assistant.

Trinity Lutheran’s Sunday School curriculum is lectionary based. We feel it is important that the kids message in Sunday school connects to the message in church.

You can be assured that each week the children will open their bibles and encounter God’s word with amazing stories from the Old and New Testament. Each week we engage in scripture and then relate the message to everyday life. There are also crafts, acting, and singing to help share the word of God at TLC Sunday school.

Vacation Bible School:

Each summer an exciting Vacation Bible School for kids between the ages of 3-1/2 thru students entering 5th grade in the fall is held at Trinity. Look for details late next Spring about next summer’s Vacation Bible School.Please contact the church office if you would like to volunteer to help: 331-5191. Bring your children for four days of fun… games… crafts… music… and Bible stories.

 

Middle School Youth Sunday School (Confirmation Class)

Trinity’s Confirmation Program is for youth in their middle school years (grades 6, 7 and 8). 

These are the years when the gospel is explored, examined and questioned — and ultimately made one’s own. This is the strong foundation which we seek to give our youth as they enter the teen years and prepare to assume the responsibilities of adulthood.

Middle School meets the 3rd Sunday of each month for games, activities, food and Bible Study.   Check out the middle school page for upcoming events, photos of past events and information on the TLC Confirmation program.  All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and their friends are invited!

Senior High Youth

From September to early June the first Sunday of each month in the Community Building, senior high youth (9th to 12th grades) meet for Bible study and a home-cooked breakfast.

Other Sundays during the month, our high school youth volunteer in the Nursery or Sunday School classrooms, usher, or serve as Assisting Minister during the services. Further, they participate in the choir or bell choirs.

During the year, high school teens have opportunities to apply Christ’s teachings through service in the local and international communities. Special events and mission trips may be planned. Any youth not able to attend regular youth group nights are encouraged to join in special events. Starting Sunday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m. – NEW!!  a High School Youth Group and Bible Study.  Meet in the upstairs youth room for a fun time of study, reflection and fellowship.  Bring a friend and join us!
