You are invited to a Service of Consecration on Sunday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. at TLC.
Bishop Kirby Unti of the Northwest Washington Synod will preside at the Consecration Service. A joyful reception will follow in the gym.
This service will mark the completion of the Candidacy Process for Amy Stamatiou, and will mark the beginning of her life calling to serve the church as a Deacon.
In the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America there are two rosters for those who are called to full time, lifelong ministry. There is a clergy roster for those who have been called to serve as Pastors in a Ministry of Word and Sacrament. There is also a Deacon roster for those who have been called to serve in a Ministry of Word and Service.
The road to Ordination or Consecration involves years of education, candidacy interviews, and prayerful deliberation by both the candidate and the larger church.
On Sunday, November 4th we will host the Consecration Service of Amy Stamatiou. We will hear Amy’s sacred vows and celebrate her achievement.
If you would like to help with the reception, please let us know in the church office.
Congratulations Amy! We look forward to your joyful Consecration Service and your continued ministry among us.
