Lay Caring Ministry

The first Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. several members of TLC gather to review the list of  needs among our membership.

Prayer requests come into the church office almost daily. Our Lay Caring Ministry responds to those requests. And along with those prayers the Care Team follows through by helping those who are shut-in, by visiting residents of assisted living or nursing homes.

We have members caring for a spouse at home. Our Care Team members take responsibility for one or more of such needs.helping however they can.

This is a person to person ministry of friendship. It is  not a technical medical type of help, but a presence from time to time when the caregiver in the home needs a break to shop, do errands or simply have an hour or two break. Lay Care provides encouragement among those who can too easily be forgotten either as a shut in at home or a resident of a care facility.

Pastors Lindus and Hanson help prepare the members of this Team in carrying out their ministries. The Tuesday meetings are held in the church library. Feel free to drop in and learn more.
